Community Guidelines

"Be Excellent to Eachother" Bill & Ted

These Guidelines are in place to ensure that all souls accessing this site feel safe, included, welcome and a part of a caring and compassionate community.

By accessing the Site and Materials, you agree to the following at all times:

  • To be inclusive of all souls in every group. This space is meant to be safe for all regardless of race, gender, sexuality, class and identity. This requires all of us to be mindful of our words. Do not be offended if you are asked to refrain from saying or doing something.

“Do the best you can until you know better.  Then when you know better, do better.”                                                                                                                                                 Maya Angelou

  • Be teachable, technically it is why you are here anyway.  We all grew up with really awful sayings that come from traumatic and racist pasts.  We all can work hard to eliminate painful phrases and labels. We live in potent times and there is access to so much information via social media where we can educate ourselves and be the best ally we can be.

  • If you offend someone, apologize. It is easy to do. Pronouns can sometimes be forgotten or perhaps someone is transitioning and would prefer she but is called he. Please do your best to honor all souls, but if you hurt someone’s feelings simply make amends.

  • Some of us are brand new to all the topics taught on this site, some of us have been learning for decades. No matter where you are on this path, please know you are welcome and valued. It is my mission, Vandana Murray - creator of AW, that all students will find myself and the other instructors as knowledgeable, compassionate, inclusive and safe guides. This is done by feeling that your current circumstance and experience is honored, that you are heard, that you do not feel talked down to or overridden.  Feeling challenged is good though, and can be done in an empowering way. If you ever feel like an instructor or someone else in the community is “putting you down” for any reason, please reach out via email so we can remedy the situation - hello@avalonway.com.

  • The journey of pursuing our individual spiritual development is personal. What works for one, may not for another. This is normal and wise. Not everyone is meant to be passionate about the same things, what a boring world that would be! There is always a way, and the community of Avalon Way is to support each other's individual path.

  • Chaos is welcome, ideas and perspectives are encouraged, but there is no tolerance of discourse that would shame, blame, or cause harm. Often, what is written in a comment, or a blog, can be misunderstood or was written/communicated strangely. Please seek clarification kindly.

  • Some of us are quite outspoken, some of us are active but do not share, and some have english as a second language or are neurodivergent. The spectrum is respected here. This community must maintain integrity and respect so all participants feel safe to share and be vulnerable. Disagreements are natural, and can create fantastic learning opportunities, however being a bully is not tolerated. If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all. Moderators may delete conversations, and even ban individuals for things like hate speech, racist comments, and anything that is determined to be negative or harmful.

  • Be discerning what you share and who you share with! AW will strive to be a safe space for anyone who wishes to engage with the network, but we are not responsible for connections made through this platform which result in negative outcomes. For example, if you connected with someone during an event and they offered to do a reading, but charged you a lot of money and never delivered, or if there was a romantic intention that created problems, these things are not AW or other provider’s responsibility to resolve, but you may report the user to us to request they be removed from the site. In addition, if any provider/teacher of AW has misrepresented themselves to you, engaged in unethical behavior such as sexual harassment or identity theft, we will take appropriate action and support efforts for you to take legal action against them.

  • Nothing published on this site in digital or live event format, or content spoken or written provided during in person events, may be reproduced or copied. All content is to be respected as copyrighted by AW, Vandana Murray, or an individual creator teaching through this portal. Any and all persons, artificial intelligent programs or beings, aliens (not from earth), cannot take any part of any of the teachings and claim them as their own or teach them as their own nor can they copy any content and then sell it as their own. If content is discovered to be stolen legal action will be pursued and damages sought after to the fullest extent of the law.

  • In addition, it is very common for many spiritual teachers to receive through their channeling process similar teachings and offer similar messages. We are all connected. If you have come across any work on AW which is similar to yours and are concerned in any way about ethics or want to discuss if such work was indeed stolen, please email us immediately as running this site with integrity is of the utmost importance. Email us at hello@avalonway.com.
